Our Cows

The Richaven herd has been founded through developing strong maternal lines and is sired primarily by Canadian sires alongside some of our own bulls

We are currently milking 85 cows including seven Ayrshires, who between them average 10,400kgs and a classification score of 89 points

The cow family currently dominating the herd today is the Squaw family who came to Richaven after Severnvales Chief Squaw EX93-3E SP LP50 14* was purchased as a calf. Over a quarter of the herd now carry Squaw blood, either from the maternal line or through our herd sire, Richaven Squawbuck who consistently transmits the frame, power and great feet & legs and udders that so define this family.
