Agriscot Champions!

After calving her second recently, Richaven Shottle Squaw VG88-2yr has just confirmed her earlier career as a show headliner was justified when she was crowned SuperCow at Agriscot.

Shottle Squaw was first noticed when she won Calf Champion at the NHS which she followed up with the title of Heifer Champion at the Royal Norfolk this year. 

Her first outing as a second calf cow has seen her take Breed and Interbreed Champion at Agriscot 2011. We look forward to bringing her out at the new March show in Carlisle... For more on the family, CLICK HERE

Agriscot Ayrshire!

While Shottle Squaw was dominating the Holstein ring, our other second calver, Loukat Lucky VG89 was taking the Ayrshire ring by storm. 

Lucky proved herself when she took the Breed Championship ahead of a strong Scottish field.

Reigning Red!

Our newest addition to the Richaven herd (owned in partnership with Messrs Bradley) Crockers Rock Stocking Red VG87-2yr completed our team of Champions at Agriscot when she was tapped out as Champion Red Heifer.

Stocking's dam was the EX90-3E SP LP50 Crockers Allen Stocking, out of Crockers JR Jed Stocking EX92-4E SP LP80 from the great brood cow, Crichel Inspiration Stocking 60 EX92 9*.

We look forward to working with her in the future - there is a lot more to come!

EXHIBITOR BRED CHAMPION, INTERBREED EB CHAMPION, RES BREED CHAMPION!

The Richaven team had a fantastic show at the National All Breeds 2011, held at the recent Dairy Event.

Richaven Goldwyn Adrienne EX-2nd calver was crowned Exhibitor Bred Internreed Champion after earlier claiming the Senior In Milk Champion and Reserve Breed Championship.

Richaven Goldwyn Birdy VG89-2nd calver was also in the Championship final after winning the Senior section of the Junior Cow in Milk class.

These two exceptional young cows were joined by Senior Cow Richaven OA Katie EX94-2E to take the breeders group title, while herd favourite Richaven Raider Squaw EX95-3E was joined by her 2yr old daughter Richaven Goldwyn Squaw VG87-2yr to take the Dam and Daughter pair.

There was also success the day before with both Dan and Hannah winning their respective handler classes yet again!

A great show all round - a big thanks to all the team for their hard work and enthusiasm.

A small team of four represented Richaven at this year's Three Counties;

1st Junior Cow and Reserve Breed Champion was Goldwyn Birdy on her first ever outing.

Reserve Interbreed Champion was our other second calver but in the coloured ring, Ayrshire Loukat Lucky VG88!

Dan and Hannah were Champion and Reserve Champion Handler respectively!
